Skipper additional training for the Boat Skipper category B
Scope (Target audience):
The training is designated for those who have passed the exam for the Boat leader category B course and want to exercise and repeat the knowledge from the course in practice, as well as for those who think that they do have not enough practical skills and want to practice more before going to the course for the Boat Skipper licence category B.
Objective:
After completion of the training, the trainees will improve handling and manoeuvring of a boat, improve mooring, docking, anchoring and receive most important advices necessary for smoother boating. Focus will be on essential-important things necessary for safe cruising. In practice we will once again repeat theoretical knowledge from the Boat leader B course to be more self confident.
Course content:
- Familiarisation with the vessel
- Safety
- Renewal or learning of the theoretical contents of the course for the Boat leader B in practice
- Sailing, docking, anchoring, mooring, buoy, tying the boat in bays with lines ashore
- Basics of day and night navigation (work on navigation chart and electronic aids for navigation)
- Collision regulation rules, lights, day shapes, sound signals
- MOB
- Usage of boat equipment
- Ropes, knots
- Theoretical and practical basic of sailing
Each participant will practice maneuvers either as a boat leader or as a crew member in various roles, with advice, instructions and comments from the course leader, and in practice goes through the whole course program
Duration: The course lasts usually for 7 days or upon request
Boat: The type and the length of the boat on the course can be chosen according to the client’s preference.
Prerequisite:
- At least 18 years of age
- An identification card or passport

Payment terms: 50% of the price when ordering / 50% the month prior
Embarking: Saturday from 18.00 hrs.
